Redeveloping the Station...

The existing stationIn February 2010 exciting work to redevelop Rotherham Central Railway Station began.

At present almost half a million people a year use the station. This is a critical component of the Rotherham Renaissance vision that aims to make the town a much more vibrant, successful and healthy place for people to live, work, visit and invest in.

Sharing the exciting vision for the future of Rotherham, funding has been obtained from a number of sources including Yorkshire Forward and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), where the project has only been made possible by their contribution. Other partners include South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and Network Rail.
